Benefits of elliptical machines
Elliptical machines not only provide an excellent cardio workout, but they can also work muscle groups in both upper and lower body. When using the arm handles in tandem with the pedals, the resistance is distributed evenly, giving you a well-balanced workout that hits your hamstrings, quads, glutes, core muscles and more.
Features of elliptical machines
Some common features include customizable resistance levels, stride lengths and incline or ramp angles, cup holders, accessory trays and more. Please see the user manual included with your machine for more information.
Are elliptical machines bad for knees?
To the contrary, since ellipticals provide a much more low-impact workout, they are generally considered to be a much less demanding alternative to treadmills or free running. It’s recommended to not repeat sustained movements if you experience pain or discomfort on your elliptical machine.
Do ellipticals require assembly?
Most elliptical machines will require at least partial assembly, so it’s recommended to have a basic set of tools just to be safe, including an adjustable wrench, Philips head screwdrivers, a ratchet kit, and a rubber mallet.
