What clothes should I wear when I go fishing?

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just starting out, everyone should be equipped with the following items:

· Polarized sunglasses

· Hat

· Lightweight long or short-sleeved shirt with UV protection

· Shorts or long pants

· Fishing gloves

· Fishing boots

· Waterproof and windproof jacket (depending on the weather)

What fabrics are popular for fishing apparel?

Fishing clothing is often designed so that anglers are protected from the elements, be it sun or rain. The most common materials used include nylon, cotton, rayon, spandex, polyester, or a combination. These items of clothing might also have a UPF rating, which indicates how much UV radiation the fabric will allow to reach the skin. The higher the number, the better the protection.
