Are luggage scales accurate?

While portable luggage scales can vary in terms of quality and reliability, overall, these scales are very accurate. Modern digital luggage scales are widely considered to be reliable and relatively easy to travel with, making them a must-have for the frequent traveler.

Are bathroom scales accurate for luggage?

A bathroom scale is not recommended for weighing luggage, as they are designed to weight humans, and do not support the wide variety of shapes and sizes of most luggage sets.

Should you put a tag on your luggage?

Yes. Luggage tags are highly recommended for both your checked baggage and carry-on luggage, as they help passengers identify their belongings more quickly – and can also help make tracking missing baggage easier. Your luggage tags should list your name, email address, and at least one phone number. Do not list your home address on your luggage tag.

What makes a good luggage tag?

Aside from quality construction and durability, one of the most important things your luggage tag should have is a bright, unique design or colour scheme, which will help you quickly spot your luggage at a crowded baggage claim. Further, a quality luggage tag should feature a front cover flap, so that your personal info can't be easily observed by nearby strangers.
