Do GPS watches work in the woods?

Yes. GPS watches function well in remote areas such as the wilderness and similar locales, as they can accurately pinpoint your location by continuously sending and receiving signals from orbiting satellites. Keep in mind that terrain with abundant tree cover may make your GPS data somewhat less accurate.
