How do smart home thermostats work?

Smart home thermostats work a lot like regular thermostats: they track the temperature in your home and activate or deactivate your heating and cooling to reach your desired temperature. You can change a smart thermostat’s settings and check your home’s temperature when you’re away. Some smart thermostats have the added advantage that they can sense when you're home, learn your favourite temperature ranges for each season or outdoor temperature, and can be programmed to reduce energy usage when you’re not at home.

Is it easy to install a smart thermostat?

Smart thermostats are as easy to install as regular thermostats but require a bit of extra setup to connect them to Wi-Fi and the rest of your smart home system.

What is the difference between a smart thermostat and a Wi-Fi thermostat?

Smart thermostats and Wi-Fi thermostats are essentially the same product with different names, both operate in the same way, connect to the internet, and can be controlled from your phone, tablet, voice assistant, hub, or computer.

The minimum payment is the sum of (a) the greater of: (i) interest and fees shown on your statement + $10; or (ii) 5% of the New Balance, excluding amounts on special payment plans, (b) any balance over your credit limit, (c) any amounts past due not included in (b) above, and (d) the amount of any equal payments plan instalments then due.
