Once your toddler has outgrown the weight or height requirements of their rear-facing car seat and is at least 2 years old, they can change to a forward-facing car seat with a 5-point harness.

What age should a child be in a rear-facing car seat?

It is required by law that all newborns and infants ride in a rear-facing seat until they reach the maximum weight and height limit of the child car seat. It’s important to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and the laws and regulations on child car seats in your province.
