HOW TO CHOOSE SAW BLADES
Different materials require specific saw blades to cut through them. The right one will make your project easy and quick. Here’s how to select the right one for yourself.
The TPI rating on a saw blade represents the number of individual teeth per inch on a blade. For cutting softer materials like wood, a blade with 6 TPI to 20 TPI would suffice. When dealing with tougher materials like metal, a blade with 14 TPI to 36 TPI will give the best results. As a rule of thumb, harder materials require more TPI.
How do you replace a saw blade?
Since there are many different types of saws that accommodate a variety of blades, there is no universal method to use when replacing yours. Be sure to refer to your saw manufacturer’s safety/instruction manual when performing any maintenance on your saw.
