Like coolers, ice packs also come in hard and soft styles. Hard ice packs are an excellent, long-lasting option for keeping your cooler chilled. Alternatively, Soft packs are lighter and can conform around items in tight spaces, but tend to provide less cooling time.

What's the best ice pack to last all day?

Generally, hard ice packs provide longer-lasting cooling than soft ice packs. That said, soft ice packs in an adequately insulated cooler can still keep items cool for up to 12 – 36 hours.
