Q: Does this 25' version of the Stanley Tape Measure have metric measurement markings or just SAE (inches and feet) only?

A: So, I decided to get this Stanley 25' (store code: 057-7026-4) and the Stanley 26'/8m (store code: 057-7027-2) versions since both are at the same sale price at Canadian Tire at the moment. Upon getting it home, I checked each of the tape measures to see if the 25' one had the metric markings on one side. Sure enough, it is what the picture shows. The 25' tape measure version is only SAE (inches and feet). The 26' version is both SAE and Metric. Both have the same tape width, just the 26' version is one foot longer.

25' version is SAE only. No Metric markings!

So, I decided to get this Stanley 25' (store code: 057-7026-4) and the Stanley 26'/8m (store code: 057-7027-2) versions since both are at the same sale price at Canadian Tire at the moment. Upon getting it home, I checked each of the tape measures to see if the 25' one had the metric markings on one side. Sure enough, it is what the picture shows. The 25' tape measure version is only SAE (inches and feet). The 26' version is both SAE and Metric. Both have the same tape width, just the 26' version is one foot longer. The tape measure slides in and out quite well. The lock is OK and you have to press all the way to lock - pretty standard to even the cheap ones. If you're OK with imperial American measurements only, this is a huge bang for the buck when it is on sale at Canadian Tire. If you want the one with metric markings, get the 26' (057-7027-2) version.

Durable for a little measuring tape

I've found this measuring tape to be very durable which is great as a framer. The only down side to the tape is that the hook on the end is a smaller one which isn't as nice when hooking on to certain things. For the price (especially when on sale), I'd definitely recommend it though!

Dissapointed

I have several of these and there great But have one that the retracting spring failed. Had over a year but not used much. Not sure if CT will replace as no warranty info available
