Poor LIFTING ROD

Received the Bosch Js260 as a Christmas gift and although it's a solid built tool the LIFTING ROD 2600780173 failed after the first cut. It would be cheaper to purchase a new a Js260 then order the part and fix it myself. I will look at all options before I consider repairing this unit.

Blade Ejects

Purchased the Bosch JS260 Jigsaw on August 29, 2023. My first project was to cut slots in wood. The jigsaw worked fine for about 1/2 the project then the blade kept ejecting.

Q: Blade Types and Case Does this jigsaw come with a case and will it accept U-shank blades? I know some jigsaw models say they "only" accept t-shank but the U-shank works aswell.
